Tim Nelson

"It is such an honor God has supplied that Kathy and I are serving at Bays Mountain Baptist Church. This is the first church where I have served as Pastor, however, I have been serving the Lord for more than 50 Years now. I served in capacity of teacher from the time that I was 16 years old until I was 51 when God called me to preach. I was happy to be an evangelist for almost 10 years until I felt the calling to become a pastor.

While I had opportunities to pastor many churches, I never felt the tug of the Holy Spirit as I did when Bays Mountain asked me to become their Pastor. Since moving to the church, we have seen God bless in a great way. We have seen the church grow both in numbers and in the Holy Spirit. We have seen Lost souls come to know the Lord and have seen the church grow closer to the life that God intends us to live.

Our Church is made up of the most wonderful people. You can feel the love as you enter the parking lot. I am constantly amazed at how willing everyone is to work in the church. It doesn’t matter if it is teaching Sunday school or repairing a water leak. I know that God has brought us together as a church for a very special reason.

It is my prayer that Bays Mountain Church will always be a light to the surrounding town and community. We always want to invite everyone to come and be a part of this growing ministry. Bays Mountain is truly a church where you will be loved beyond the normal lip service that we so often hear. There is always room to work, grow, and worship the Lord in the freedom of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Old time way of serving and worshiping God. We believe that salvation comes only by being born again. It's by grace through faith. Not of works. Salvation is a gift of God made possible by the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
May God bless every person that ever reads this letter and May God always bless Bays Mountain Church.  A Church where we don’t have visitors. Everyone is just one of us the first time they attend.  Come and experience the difference."
